The Krishna Yajur Veda (specifically the Taittiriya Shakha) is the most celebrated and complete Vedic recension practiced across South India. It contains both the sacred mantras (Samhita) and their esoteric ritual and philosophical commentaries (Brahmana, Aranyaka, and Upanishad).
At Chidambaram, Lord Nataraja is the primordial master of Nada Brahma (divine sound). From the damaru (drum) in His upper right hand emanated the fourteen Maheswara Sutras, forming the alphabet and sonic foundation of Vedic meters. Chanting Krishna Yajur Veda before Lord Nataraja at Kanaka Sabha produces immense spiritual power and global peace.
